Description:
The frog is of medium size, with a relatively small head featuring a rounded snout. Its body is stout and globular, resembling a small balloon. On the dorsal side, it displays a dark brown coloration, while the ventral surface is white. There are distinctive black and yellow spots and markings along its lateral sides. The hind legs are notably short compared to its body proportions.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It inhabits forest floors, freshwater wetlands, ponds, ditches, canals etc. It is distributed in the forests of Madhupur, Bhawal and Savar areas of central, and Nilphamari, Dinajpur and Panchagarh of northwestern region of Bangladesh.
