The body of Umborotula bogorensis takes the form of irregular crusts on aquatic plants, featuring a hispid-like surface with projecting spicule fibers. The coloration is light brown, and the oscula are inconspicuous and small. The consistency of the sponge is soft and fragile. The megascleres are feebly curved, slender, and fusiform, with spicules pointed at both ends. Their dimensions range from 0.27-0.36 mm in length and 9-18 µm in width. Gemmoscleres are long and birotulates with spiny shafts. The rotules are equal, umbonate, with a distinctly recurved and regularly incised margin. The length and width of gemmoscleres range from 0.06-0.07 mm and 30-32 µm, respectively. Gemmules are spherical, very few in number, and scattered throughout the sponge. The pneumatic layer is granulated with minute air spaces, and gemmoscleres are radially embedded in the pneumatic layer. The foramen tube is porous and short. The diameter of gemmules ranges from 0.46-0.52 mm.
