Description:
Body is elongated. Two pairs of barbels are present. Color body is golden tinge. Dorsal spines 4 in total; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8; Anal spines: 2; Anal soft rays: 5.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Inhabits fast flowing hill streams with bottom made of rocks and boulders.

It is used for control of planktons in the ecosystem.
