Description:
The frog has a broad head with an elongated snout. The nostrils are positioned close to the snout tip, and the eyes are large with a distinct tympanum. The fingers are free with swollen tips, and there is webbing present at the base of the toes. Metatarsal tubercles are indistinct. The dorsal skin is smooth, while the upper and lateral parts of the head, lateral parts of the body, and thighs are covered with numerous small warts. A distinct supratympanic fold is present. The ventral surface of the body and limbs is smooth. The dorsal surface is olive-colored, while the ventral surface is white. There is a dark band in the interorbital region connecting the eyes, and the limbs have dark bands.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It inhabits forest floors, freshwater wetlands, ponds, ditches, canals etc. It is distributed in the Kaptai national park, Rangamati region of Bangladesh.
