Description:
It is an elongated fluke with a bilobed head, featuring six pairs of head organs and two pairs of eye spots, positioned asymmetrically. The body is dorsoventrally flattened, and the mouth typically contains a muscular pharynx. There are five pairs of darkly-stained cephalic glands located at the posteriolateral sides of the pharynx.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
The species primarily infects freshwater catfish, maturing in the gill filments of the host. It is distributed throughout Bangladesh.
