Description:
The valves of this species are large and heteropolar, meaning they have distinct rounded headpoles and cuneate footpoles. They exhibit regularly spaced porcae, or transapical undulations, numbering between 18 and 26 per 100 µm. Additionally, there is a narrow-lanceolate hyaline axial area present on the valve.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Typically found in freshwater environments.
