Morphologically, the species ranges from 23.5 to 48.5 µm in length and 10 to 11 µm in width according to the UK population, and from 16 to 36 µm in length and 9 to 11 µm in width as reported by English and Potapova in 2012. The valves are described as linear to ovate in shape, with a broadly rounded headpole and a cuneate footpole.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Mostly found in organotrophic freshwater waterbodies.
