Streptocephalus individuals vary in size, ranging from 6 to 25 mm, and are composed of three main sections: the head, thorax, and abdomen. Within the head region, there are notable features such as a pair of compound eyes situated on stalks, a single median eye, two pairs of antennae, and a pair of mandibles.

Commonly found in the rivers of Bangladesh.
