Description:
The fronds of this species are typically small, simple, and often exhibit a constriction at their center, resulting in two segments. These segments are frequently twisted and are generally wider than they are long. In many species, the fronds have lateral extensions that elongate into processes, creating round or angular concavities on either side. In other aspects, the front view of these segments appears mostly intact. When viewed from the end, the shape varies. In most species, the end view is either triangular or quadrangular, with the angles being either rounded or extending into ray-like structures. In some species, the end view is circular, featuring five or more processes that form marginal rays. In a few cases, the end view is flattened, and the extremities terminate in a process.
