Description:
The organism has an oval shape, with a shortened anterior end and a rounded posterior end. Its body is flattened dorso-ventrally and elongated ovate, measuring up to 5-15 µm in length and 4-7 µm in width. Two flagella are located at the end of the pharyngeal groove. This species possesses two chromatophores. The vestibulum is situated below the anterior apex of the cell. Reproduction occurs through asexual division.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Typically found in marine environments, although freshwater reports exist.
