Description:
The anterior area of the pronotum and the head are of a very pale castaneous color. The abdomen is fuscous above, while laterally it appears pale ochraceous. The head is slightly raised between the eyes, with prominent blackish eyes displaying a reddish tinge. The rostrum is 3-jointed. The pronotum is elongated, wide, and elevated posteriorly. The abdominal appendages are longer than the body, and the overall length, excluding the abdominal appendages, ranges from about 41 to 45 mm. The abdominal respiratory appendages measure approximately 47 mm in length. The fore femur features two teeth, one medial and the other distal.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Mostly found in deeper parts of ponds and swamps, sometimes also found with aquatic vegetations in different depth of pond water. Found in Dhaka, Chittagong.
