Description:
Fin formula: D. 10-11 (3/7-8); P. 13; V. 9; A. 13 (3/10); C. 19. It has elongated, slender and highly compressed body with sharply pointed head. Single pair of a rudimentary maxillary barbels which are absent in the adults. It has no barbel. Scales minute and lateral line complete in adults with 90-94 scales. Caudal fin is forked.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Occur in hilly streams of Mymensingh, Sylhet and Dinajpur.
