Male dragonflies have olivaceous green eyes above, bright orange below, and bluish beneath. Their thorax is olivaceous green with azure blue sides, featuring a median fine black line with broad black parallel lines on each side. Additionally, they have a fine black line on the sides and a white underside. Their wings are transparent, legs are yellow with black femora on the outer and rear surfaces, and they have reddish-brown wing spots. The abdomen of males is segmented, with segments 1-2 being olivaceous green above and azure blue on the sides, segments 3-7 black with bronzed green above, the 8th segment has a broad black cone above, and segments 9-10 are azure blue. In contrast, female dragonflies have a rusty brown face, with dark blue eyes above and azure blue below. Their thorax exhibits markings similar to males but with a dull bluish-green coloration. The abdomen of females has broader markings above the segments compared to males, with the mark on the 8th segment extending the entire length and the 9th segment featuring basal forked markings above. Both males and females have reddish-brown wing spots.
