Description:
Pristina proboscidea having long proboscis, projecting from a narrow prostomium. The tip of the proboscis is narrower than the base, and the mouth is positioned ventrally. Dorsal setae originate from the second segment, with each bundle containing 1 to 4 hairs and 1 to 4 needles. The hairs are long, straight, smooth, and finely pointed, with the longest hair. The length of hairs decreases in the posterior segments. Ventral setae also begin from the second segment, with 4 to 10 setae per bundle. The ventral setae in segment II are longer and thicker, compared to the others. All ventral setae are bifid, with unequal teeth, and the length of ventral setae decreases towards the posterior segments.

Commonly found in the fish pond, rivers, lakes, haors, and other fresh waterbodies of Bangladesh
