Description:
It is a digenetic fluke characterized by its flattened, oval body and smooth cuticle. It has two suckers: an oral sucker at the anterior end and a ventral sucker positioned further back. The digestive system includes a prepharynx, pharynx, and simple intestinal ceca.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It inhabits the intestine, kidney, liver, heart, spleen of the freshwater fishes. It is found throughout Bangladesh.
