Description:
P. vulgaris is a rotifer lacking a lorica, characterized by four sets of blade-like projections or paddles. It possesses a ciliated corona encircling the mouth, which leads to the gullet, trophi (jaws), esophagus, stomach, and intestine, with the anus located on the ventral surface.
