Description:
The profile is straight from the tip of the snout to the origin of the dorsal fin. Anterior nostrils are positioned at the end of the snout on the edge of the upper lip. Eyes are small. Both the nasal and maxillary barbels are long, extending at least to the base of the pectoral fin. The total number of fin rays in the continuous median fins ranges from 247 to 281. In terms of coloration, it is a plain dusky brown with a black tip on the dorsal fin. At night, there is a banded pattern.

Found in estuaries and Bay.
