Description:
It is a stoloniferous, monoecious herb that floats freely on water. The stem supports a rosette of leaves and several adventitious roots covered with spreading root-hairs. The leaves are nearly stalkless, ranging from obovate to ovate-cuneate in shape, with a rounded to truncate apex, and are densely pubescent on both surfaces.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It is commonly found in freshwater ponds, ditches, slow-running streams, and irrigation canals. It is widespread across Bangladesh.
