Description:
Colouration generally uniform. Olive brown above, lighter below. Body moderately elongate and laterally compressed posteriorly. Snout moderately developed, subconical. Anterior nostril tubular, posterior before eye. Dorsalfin origin above gill-opening. Pectoral fins moderate, broad-based. Tip of tail finless. Lateral line inconspicuous.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Common in estuaries, ascends most rivers and rice fields. Lives in holes in river bottom.
