Description:
The front part of its body is narrow and tapering, contrasting with the flat, disc-shaped posterior that lacks a rear notch. The skin is smooth, lacking a clear groove separating the front and back sections. The mouth is at the end of the head, while the sucker is almost circular, situated at the juncture of the front and back parts. There is no throat; instead, a tiny, muscular structure resembling a pre-pharynx lies just behind the oral sucker.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It usually infests in the swimbladder of the freshwater fishes. In Bangladesh, it has been reported from Dhaka and Sylhet.
