Description:
The body is elongated with a narrow waist, providing a streamlined appearance. The head is broader than long with a pointed snout, giving it a distinctive profile. The nostrils are closer to the snout tip than the eyes, which are large and prominent with a rounded pupil. The dorsal skin is smooth but can exhibit a slightly granular texture, particularly on the upper flanks and limbs. The coloration of the dorsum is typically brown or greyish-brown, often with darker spots. The ventral surface is usually white or cream.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
inhabit lowland, coastal, mixed-evergreen forests of southeast Bangladesh, which are bounded to the east by the mountainous Chattogram Hill Tracts.
