Description:
The organism has a flattened, leaf-shaped structure supported by a rigid cytoskeleton called a pellicle. It typically appears green due to the presence of numerous small discoid chloroplasts and possesses a single flagellum that extends the entire length of the body. Reproduction occurs asexually through longitudinal cell division, starting from the apex and extending to the base of the cell.
