Description:
During the breeding season, this bird displays bright white feathers and a striking crest on its head. The area around the eyes is orange-yellow and featherless, while the bill is a light plumbeous-blue with red edges. A large pouch hangs from the lower part of the bill, and the legs are pinkish. In the non-breeding season, the bird’s plumage becomes duller and it loses the crest.
