Description:
The shell measures between 46.0 and 61.0 mm in length, 27.0 and 34.0 mm in height, and 16.3 to 21.3 mm in width. It has an ovate shape with less conspicuous umbones. The posterior end is carinated, and the lateral teeth are nearly curved. In juveniles and subadults, the ventral margin is often convex. The periostracum exhibits a light yellowish to brown color with a few fine green striae on the posterior part.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Found in sandy bed of the lakes, rivers and streams. Abundant in Comilla and Sylhet districts. Muddy Substrate of lentic places in large lowland rivers and large ponds
