Description:
The shell of this organism is transparent and broadly oval, with a slight compression. It is made up of secreted quadratic or rectangular calcite plates arranged in rows and held together by sheet-like cement. The nucleus is vesicular in structure. Its dimensions typically range from 29 to 44 µm in length.
