Description:
The creatures are transparent and colorless, occasionally appearing light pink. Their bodies are flattened in a dorsal-abdominal direction, with a regularly oval-shaped anterior section. The abdomen is wide, narrowing slightly towards the rear. The furcal branches are spaced widely apart and diverge slightly. Several small spines form a transverse row on the dorsal surface of the furcal branches. The caudal rami have a slightly convex inner margin. Egg sacs, containing 5-8 eggs, are situated next to the abdomen.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Commonly found in the rivers, lakes, haors, and other fresh waterbodies of Bangladesh.
