Description:
This submerged herb takes root in the mud and features floating leaves that are broadly ovate, orbicular, or cordate-reniform, often translucent, with an obtuse apex and a cordate or rhomboid base. Its submerged leaves are elliptic-lanceolate with an acute apex and an attenuate base. The flowers are trimerous, white with a yellow-spotted base, and the fruits are ovoid to cylindrical.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It typically inhabits shallow ponds, streams, stagnant pools, ditches, and lakes, and is distributed widely across Bangladesh.
