Description:
Fin formula: D. 9 (2/7); P1. 13; P2. 8; A. 13 (3/10). It has deep body with compressed head. Snout is pointed and jaws are not long. Mouth moderate and having complete lateral line. 60-63 scales are present in the lateral line. Scales are small with few radii. Dorsal and caudal fins dark grey with a light pinkish edge.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Found in hill streams and rivers with pebbly or sandy bottom.
