Description:
The head is devoid of scales, but the body is covered with tiny cycloid scales. The gill opening is U-shaped and restricted to the ventral midline. All median and paired fins are absent, though there are low dorsal and anal fin folds on the posterior part of the body, which terminates in a narrow point. The fish exhibits an olive-brown background color with numerous small, dark brown, circular to oval spots across its body. It also features multiple paired pale to bright yellow horizontal lines of varying lengths on the head and body.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Available throughtout Bangladesh. Plenty in mud-holes in shallow beels and boro paddy fields.
