Description:
The carapace is oval, ranging in color from grey-black, grey to green with black reticulations. The head is green above, featuring several black oblique stripes on the forehead and along the sides, starting from the posterior corner of the eyes and extending backward. Jaws are yellowish, and the underside of the head is creamy. Limbs exhibit a greenish hue. The plastron is cream, pale yellow or pinkish in color. The male possesses a relatively longer and thicker tail than the female, with the vent located near the tip.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It is found in rivers, lakes, ponds and ditches of Bangladesh.
