Description:
The valves are elongated with slightly extended ends. On the primary side, the central area is larger and semi-elliptical, while on the secondary side it is smaller, though in some specimens it can be nearly symmetrical. The striae are radial towards the center of the valve and converge near the ends. There are 11-12 striae visible per 10 µm.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Occurs in small, stagnant, and slow-flowing waters.
