Classification:
Kingdom: Animalia

Description:
The body of this organism measures between 40 to 70 µm in length and 30 to 45 µm in width when observed in vivo, appearing rectangular to oval in side view. It possesses two contractile vacuoles, positioned ventrally; one is located at the anterior 1/3 of the cell, and the other at the posterior 1/4, each with a diameter of approximately 4 µm. Additionally, there are two nematodesmal rods present. The ellipsoidal macronucleus is heteromerous, measuring about 25 × 15 µm in vivo and approximately 25 × 13 µm after protargol staining. No micronucleus was detected. The podite measures about 12 µm in length. The cell surface is densely covered by bar-shaped ectosymbiotic bacteria. Fine transverse stripes are observed at the mid-body on the surface of both lateral plates.
