Description:
Marginal cells possess a singular, elongated horn-like process, and colonies exhibit substantial perforations. Maturing marginal cells take on Y- to T-shaped configurations, appearing triangular to trapezoid in shape. Inner cells exhibit a Y-shaped structure, and the cell wall may be either granulated or smooth. Asexual reproduction involves the release of zoospores, while sexual reproduction occurs through isogametes.
