Description:
Members of the subclass Copepoda display gonochorism, meaning they have separate sexes, and exhibit sexual dimorphism. During copulation, males attach spermatophores to the ventral side of the female. In terms of their life cycle, eggs undergo six naupliar stages followed by five larval stages before reaching adulthood.
