Description:
The insect has an oval-shaped body, measuring between 3.5 and 4 millimeters in length. The pronotum is adorned with three transverse black bands, creating three equal margins. The antennae are three-jointed. The corium, a part of the forewing, exhibits three longitudinal bands. The head, ventral section of the body, and legs are ochreous in color. The eyes are wider than they are long. The rostrum, or the mouthpart, is vaguely segmented and bears labral hairs. The hind leg is comparatively longer than the others. The legs lack claws, and there are some long hairs on the palae of the foreleg.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
This species remain gripped with the bottom of water bodies for maximum time but make frequent excursion upwards for air renewal, which it reserves below the hemelytra. They move with the rowing movement of the legs. This species from Chittagong (Bangladesh).
