Description:
The body of the shrimp is fibrous; The carapace has shafts. The surface has brown blotches and these blotches are more towards the tail; Posterior part of rostrum has distinct high crest or crest; There are no teeth on the anterior part of the rostrum. There are 5-7 teeth on the tip of the rostrum. Basal spine of third peripod of male shrimp normal type; The thelicum has large frontal and small lateral extensions.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Marine and brackish water and also found in freshwater; 4-90 m, wanders deep in the ocean. Their habitats are Bagerhat (in the upper estuary), Bay of Bengal, Chalan (in the estuary), Chattgran (in the estuary), Satkhira (in the estuary) of Bangladesh.
