Description:
It is very small in size, with both the anterior and posterior regions slightly narrower. It has four pairs of head organs and two pairs of eyespots, which are approximately equal in size. The haptor, slightly separated from the main body, is equipped with two pairs of unequal anchors. The dorsal anchors feature a prominent inner root, while the ventral anchors have an inner root and a ridge at the junction of the inner root.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
The species is an obligate parasite of the freshwater eels. It reaches sexual maturity in the gill filments of the host. It is distributed throughout Bangladesh.
