Description:
The rostrum of this species is straight and relatively long, almost reaching the apex of the antennal scale. It tapers towards the distal end and possesses 10 to 17 teeth along the upper edge, typically ranging from 9 to 12, and 3 to 8 teeth along the lower edge (ventral margin), usually falling within the range of 4 to 6 teeth. The hepatic spine is positioned at a lower level than the antennal spine. The telson’s posterior margin is clearly defined, featuring two pairs of spines. In mature males, the carapace, particularly the anterior part, is covered with very short, stiff hair but lacks spinules. The second pair of pereiopods is notably long and robust, with all segments adorned with short and dense pubescence. The cutting edges of the fingers exhibit 1 or 2 large proximal teeth, with the remainder of the edges being entire, accompanied by a row of granules on each side. The carpus is shorter than the propodus but much longer than the merus. In terms of coloration, the species is translucent, with the largest legs of the male displaying a generally dark reddish-brown hue. The tips of the pereiopods and the distal half of the uropods exhibit a dark brownish color. The eggs are yellowish. The maximum total length is approximately 130 mm, with males typically reaching around 120 mm and females about 100 mm in size.
