Description:
The rostrum lacks a clearly raised basal crest and features 9 to 11 dorsal teeth, with three typically positioned behind the orbit. In adult males, the carpus of the second leg is larger than the chela, and the larger chela of the second leg in adult males lacks tubercles on each side of the cutting edge.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Freshwater bodies like rivers and beels. This freshwater prawn is known to inhabit larger river systems.
