Description:
The body is wide and flat, showing some external segmentation. It consists of an outer cortex and an inner medulla separated by two layers of longitudinal muscles. The scolex is unarmed, short, and bluntly rounded, noticeably narrower than the body, and sometimes has longitudinal furrows.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It is an obligate parasite residing in the intestine of catfish, such as Clarius batrachus. It is found throughout Bangladesh.
