Description:
Measuring between 8.4 and 9.2 in length and 2.67-2.93 in width, this insect features a dark brown base color adorned with black markings. The head extends well beyond the eyes and showcases a broad central stripe along with two narrow lateral black stripes. The anterior lobe of the pronotum displays two yellow spots, one on each side of the central longitudinal line, while the venter is predominantly white with a central brown patch at the mesosternum. The antenna is brown, and the rostrum extends beyond the posterior margin of the prosternum. The front leg is light brown, with the femur bearing a dark brown longitudinal stripe and a small apical spine at its distal end. The tibia is shorter and narrower than the femur, and tarsal claws emerge at the apical 1/3 of the 2nd tarsal segment. The middle leg exhibits a light brown femur and tibia armed with spines, while the tarsus is dark brown to black. The hind leg is light brown, with the femur and tibia adorned with spines, and the tarsus is dark brown.
