Description:
The body is elongated and flat, without segmentation, tapering at the anterior end and broader at the posterior end. The body proper is divided into an outer cortex and an inner medulla by two layers of longitudinal muscles. The scolex is smooth, unarmed, and not differentiated.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It is an obligate parasite residing in the intestine of catfish, such as Heteropneustes fossilis. It is found throughout the northern part of Bangladesh.
