Description:
This perennial herb features tall aerial stems with whorled leaves that are light green and often dissected. It commonly develops long, runner-like creeping shoots from which upright stems emerge. Flowers emerge singly from the axils of aerial leaves, with colors ranging from white to pale purple. Petals may have dark purple or reddish spots. The capsules are dark brown, compressed, and ellipsoid to round in shape.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It grows in freshwater lakes, ponds, and haors across Bangladesh, being widespread throughout the country.
