Description:
The male of this species typically has a body length ranging from 10.12 mm to 10.60 mm, while the female generally attains a length of 10.71 mm to 11.54 mm. The coloration is usually dark brown to black, adorned with black markings. Antennae, rostrum, and legs are dark brown, and the eyes are black. The head is black with distinctive orange markings. The pronotum is brown with black longitudinal markings that extend up to the metanotum. Connexival spines are dark brown. The wings are dark brown with prominent black markings. Ventrally, the insect appears yellowish, and the forewings are dark brownish with black venation. Structural characteristics include a head length of 0.69 and width of 0.78. The length of antennomeres from 1st to 4th is 2.01, 1.41, 1.45, and 1.91, respectively. The eyes have a length of 0.59 and width of 0.43, with an interocular width of 0.75. The humeral length is 3.24, and the width is 1.87. The rostrum measures 2.53 in length. The male fore femur is slender and unarmed, with a length of 3.02 and width of 0.33. The mesocoxa exhibits a distinct spine-like projection on its rear margin. In the male, the length of the abdomen is 4.22, and the width is 1.45, while in the female, the length of the abdomen is 6.15, and the width is 1.64. The female sternite has a distinct median ridge, whereas in the male, the median ridge is not as prominent. Connexival spines are long and curved in both sexes. The length of the wings is 7.64. This species can be easily identified by the presence of a spine-like projection on the dorso-lateral rear margin of the mesocoxa of the mid leg. The mesopleura is black, particularly with a large black marking.
