Limnodrilus udekemianus is a moderate-sized worm, typically yellowish in color with prominent yellow stripes at the posterior end and no eyes. Hair setae are absent. Both dorsal and ventral bundles have bifid crotchets and begin in segment II, with 9 setae in the anterior segments, decreasing to 5 posteriorly. The prongs of the setae are unequal, with the upper prong much longer than the lower one. However, the length of the setae varies from segment to segment. Penis sheaths are present in segment 10, short and about 6 times longer than broad, with a simple plate-like hood. The whole sheath is uniformly cylindrical. The stomach is absent.
