Description:
On average, this species is slightly darker and smaller than its closely related counterparts. The enlarged acrostichals are short and not very prominent, measuring only about half the length of the lower orbital bristle. The prescutellar acrostichals are not enlarged. On the mid tibia, the bristles are relatively short: the bristle above the distal dorsal is shorter than the anteroapical bristles, and the posteroapical bristles are of the same length, extending just barely to the socket of the ventrobasal metatarsal bristle.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Found in dung or carrion, along the edges of streams and rivers, on lakeshores as well as in swamps, wet ditches and muddy areas and show very little habitat specificity.

Comments:
They are semi aquatic. Larvae are hatched in water. But they fly away when they got matured.
