Description:
The cell body is ovoidal with rounded ends, measuring between 30 and 45 µm in length and 22-31 µm in width. The anterior end shows a slight depression housing an opening for a canal. It contains a single disc-shaped paramylon body and a large stigma. The locomotive flagellum is long, approximately twice the length of the body. The pellicle displays spiral striations on the right-hand side. Reproduction occurs asexually through binary fission.
