Description:
Lepocinclis acuta is a freshwater organism characterized by an ovoid or cylindrical body shape with a rigid pellicle adorned with spiral striations. It may have a short, spiny projection at the posterior end and occasionally a stigma. The cell features numerous disc-shaped chromatophores along its margins and large, ring-shaped paramylum bodies positioned laterally. Notably, Lepocinclis acuta lacks pyrenoids.
