Description:
The cells have an ovoid to fusiform shape, with the posterior end gradually tapering to a short pointed caudus. At the anterior end, there is a sudden narrowing to a blunt apex, where the flagellum emerges. They measure 19 µm in length and 11 µm in width, with the flagellum extending beyond the body length. Additionally, they contain four paramylon bodies. These cells exist in isolation and do not form colonies.
