Description:
The organism’s lorica is flattened in the dorsoventral direction. Its mastax contains malleate trophi. The dorsal and ventral plates are linked by a flexible membrane. Its feet consist of two short joints and two rudimentary segments and are visible through an aperture in the ventral plate. Additionally, claws are present at the tips of two of its toes.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Commonly found in the rivers, lakes, haors, and other fresh waterbodies of Bangladesh.
